Well, the problem has returned. Since the last repair I have ripped about 10 CDs only. Each time I have had to go through a routine of rebooting powering down etc. before it would read a disc. But today it categorically refuses to rip the CD. I have been through the reboot procedure about 5 or 6 times all to no avail. It is still running version 2.5 software and it is saying version 2.7 is available, but it won't update to it, which is what happened with version 2.6.
While I have been writing this it has finally tried to rip the CD, but now it can't identify it or any of the tracks, so won't add it to the index. The album is Alison Kraus & the union station : Lonely Runs both Ways.
I don't know what else I can do.

There are different ripping methods
Sometimes it rips before tagging and other times it finds the data (metadata) and then rips whilst tagging.
Some fingerprinting process, depending on how the data on the CD is found or ripped.
I also do not think it is relevant to reboot the device unless you want to...
If you can access the radio then the internet is connected (you can eject & re-insert the CD).

1. Firmware 2.7 is not released yet (testing), so we all still use 2.5 updates – there is a post on the forum.
2. Try clicking the update to refresh the software.
3. If the CD data isn't found the Pro X100 would not return the CD. (Unless there is no network).
4. You can reinsert; just in case it uses another method to find the data.
5. You could let the background scan for changes or just click the refresh to add it much quickly without looking for all the changes.
6. Also check your linked folders and the “Rescan media library” option.
7. Does the CD spin when you insert it (Could take a few seconds to react/detection)?
