Hello freemartial - thank you for your suggestions. Sorry but I don't know what a SMB (Samba) folder is and it's not a thing anyone has mentioned before. Nevertheless I have turned to page 29 of my handbook where find it talks about Samba. I have miniscule technology knowledge but to start with I will try to follow the instructions - watch this space! thank you.

You can always search with an asterix eg. " *mac pc" , "samba" etc (without quotes)

Thank you stane, I've looked at those links and I'm sorry to say the suggestions seem a bit technical for me. I am a very simple music-loving user of these machines!! The screenshots do not match anything on my Mac. I suspect I will have to try and find someone who understands networks & Macs who can visit to review my simple set-up. In the meantime, the good news is that my wi-fi connection between X10 and Mac has burst into life again, I just re-typed my Wifi password into the X10 Wireless Setup screen and it worked again. On my Mac I now can see the X10 database - all artists, albums, songs etc and Covers. I think this is referred to as the WEB GUI or WEB INTERFACE? Thank you until next time! Happy Christmas, Joss.
