Well...i find that some cds can be a bit tough to read, so i reinsert after wiping it or leave it for later.
Or i just reinsert again & the system will rip it.
Also check your network is linked to the internet to access the art covers & metadata.
Some cd drives could have lens issues or be a bit sensitive when reading some discs.
So:
-Check the drive & read the info of the web-interface (if using a PC/laptop)
-Check network (internet connection)
-Reinsert or check for dirt on lens, cd...
-listen to the cd drive, you would know if it is attempting to rip or it is just inactive (auto eject).

When I had this on my X30, I reckon over 90% of the tracks that failed when I tried to rip the whole CD ripped successfully when ripping selected tracks.

Pro X100 uses a different style; due to the advanced finger printing; error checking & metadata service.
This means it will analyse the whole CD before deciding to reject.
The older cocktails (x30,x40 etc) normally rips without error checking & no conversion.
So even a ripped album could be full of problems & hence "white screen".

This isn't my experience with the X30. It has been able to correctly rip tracks that wouldn't play properly

@fidot you must be lucky then because the x30 has no error checking also playing issues could be the lens, ripping files are copied & then converted later.
That is why i am not a huge fan; many issues could occur - mid error conversion, stuck conversion, processing power limitation delay etc.
Have now moved to the pro x100, much simplier method including app control & web-gui - not everyone prefers this type of audiophile computer system though ;)
