I listern to iradio quite a lot but since the last firmware upgrade I seem to be getting a lot of buffering were the selected radio station drops out sometimes for 5 minutes or more,
The station logo and the scrolling titles function there is just no sound.

Wireless or cable? If wireless, have you tried with a cable connection - could be interference, etc. My cabled iradio works fine since F/W upgrade, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Unless you can check with a cable (they make quite long ones these days!) or try another dongle, then assuming your router is working OK with other wireless equipment, there's not really any other way to check. Can you not temporarily move the X10 closer to the router, and try your connection from there? I've had very little trouble since the F/W upgrade, although reading the forum others have had various problems with back-ups, etc. but not iradio so far as I can see.

Yeah, internet radio is a complicated one, wifi signal or even the stream type chosen could present issues.
Not firmware related, RECIVA is the service provider (that could even be an issue too).
If you have a specific station, try dynamic versions (playlist m3u/pls) & other streams mp3,wma, aac etc
Even the interner service provider or internet service in the area could cause problems.

My X30 is somewhat far from my router. Solved the problem by purchasing a BT Extender 500 Kit and connected through electric mains. I got excellent internet results.
