Hi,

I have a comprehensive music database and want to be able to play my music in any room. Is there any device that I can link with the X10 to achieve this? My wife wants to buy an Amazon Echo but not sure if the Echo would "recognise" the X10.

Regards
Gordon

I don't know much about Echo, but these speakers seen to play at one location but on a wifi /LAN.
eg X10 (or music Server)...>...APP...>...Speakers (Wifi or Bluetooth)
Make sure Echo can be connected to a home network & supports upnp/dlna.
The cocktail audio wireless BF11 does the same thing but it isn't linked with a cloud service to report the weather etc.

The big problem with the Amazon echo is there's no way to integrate with non-amazon services such as iTunes or Google Music. I can't even link it to my music library on my home network, which i can access through every PC, Mac, smartphone and tablet on my wifi. Very frustrating.
