Hello,
After my grandson posted 2 x 20p coins into the cd drive on my X30 it will no longer load CDs.
So I'm looking to replace the drive.
Can cocktail audio provide one with instructions to replace it or do I need to send the unit for repair?

Are you able to detect a CD upon insertion?
I think you could probably purchase a replacement & do it yourself; it is similar to replacing a PC optical drive. :)

Yes we have looked at that but the unit is secure on the bottom left and we can't see to disconnect it. Plus the ones we have seen have a cover on the front which would need to be removed to fit into the x30 front panel with its button to operate the eject.
When I tried to load a cd there is a lever thst prevents it. If I pull the lever out of the way it does not recognise the cd. I think a spring has been stretched for the lever.

You have a broken or stuck optical drive, that is why the clip is blocking the path, it doesn't retract for the CD to be inserted or ejected.
You can purchase the same model or compatible model online - might be Sony, Philips or LG.
I don't think your seller might have a replacement that kit has been discontinued.
Another option would be to rip on your laptop/computer and export it to the device via USB, SMB (\\x30 or \\192.168.x.xx) etc
The optical can be purchased online. Remember a friend had a similar issue when his optical was damaged.
