the question is this. i have over 70 ripped disc held on one .db folder hdd. i want to move that .db folder to a new drive. which is already formatted with another .db folder and nothing on it.

is this possible, or do i have to rip the cds all over again on the new drive.

Did you check the reply of the question you posted yesterday? (could help)
".db to .db", won't work on the x10, you need to rename the folder (or just copy the albums) & dump it next to the new ".DB".
Or rename the folder on the old drive & restore/copy via the menu.
Or just use smb via the network 70 albums aren't a lot - won't take long :)

Thanks.
