Hi there,
I want to play music from my X10 but send the output to wireless speakers.
Is this possible?
Nearly every wireless speaker/device I can find seems to use Airplay
Any suggestions greatly appreciated

Not sure there is any speaker that supports a network protocol without a system/interface built-in like SONOS.
Bluetooth might be the option but the X10 doesn't support that & BT sound quality is not good either.
You could get the transmitter type but quality could be bad if you get interference (old style).
Nowadays frequency (radio waves) work much better so that could be useful.
Airplay is more "apple-i devices" .....unless cocktail audio (Novatrons) gets a License & incorporate via firmware (with hardware support) I don’t see how airplay would be useful.
Perhaps a docking speaker which could work via your phone or tablet streaming your collection from the cocktail audio?

Thanks for this
Is there no way to use the wireless to stream to the speakers?

Hi Loopdigga247,
I am very content with the wireless speaker system "JBL Control 2.4G" (http://uk.jbl.com/jbl-search-uk.html?ke ... ntrol+2.4G).

I think that was what Ajct meant about perhaps opting for wireless wave/transmitter types ??
