 Post subject: X10 remote control issue

My X10 remote control is only partially working. The ‘OK’ button is failing to work (had to be the most important button of course!). New batteries made no difference.

Silly question but is this likely to be a faulty remote or could it be the unit itself that’s at fault? Buttons on the box seem to working okay. Don’t want to fork out money buying a new remote if it’s the unit that has the issue. Remote was working fine until recently. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

With these things it is difficult to know, have you tried using a USB keyboard ?
I remember when i had an x10 it was F10 for menu, esc, arrows, enter ... etc
Poor remote could be a bad signal to the x10 or receiver from the unit. If other buttons are working fine then it is likely to be the remote.
