Help,
I stupidly charged on in and started ripping CDs as defaulted WAV which worryingly has chewed up 80gb of my storage already!

I need to know how I go back and convert all the previously ripped albums to MP3 so I get more space..

I'm scared you're gonna tell me to delete everything and start again as MP3.... :(

Please help
Thanks
Gillbill77

I suppose it depends on

1 how many cds you have ripped in wav and
2 how big is your HDD

If you have ripped say 60 just rip the rest as mp3s I have ripped 1065 cds most as mp3/m4a and have a 500gig hdd and still have only used 20% of the drive.

ah, wipe & start again
WAV files don't store tags, so even if you convert them on a computer - you will spend so much time editing the cd info (tag).
There is a trial & error way around this, but you have to generate an AUXILIARY RECORDING folder import/copy the files into them & convert them to other formats.
This is actually meant for AUX RECORDING & you might spend time converting track by track & waste a lot of time.
Hence just format the HDD & start properly - don't delete wipe the HDD instead.
If you did use the MENU-OPTION, you get to select the ripping format, instead of using the default one button rip.

ah another point, don't waste time ripping sooo many cds if you are gonna ripp in mp3, try FLAC (Quality & less space too)
