I am trying to backup my X10 onto a 2TB "My Passport for Mac". Everything seems to go O.K. (Music DB Backup Success) but when I look at the drive on my Macbook nothing is there from X10.

Any ideas as to where the backup might be going or how I can see it? Is this an Apple thing? Does X10 not like Apple?

Format of the drive is Mac OS Extended (Journaled)

"Your My Passport for Mac drive is formatted as a single HFS+J partition for compatibility with Mac OS X operating systems. If you want to use the drive with a Windows computer, see “Reformatting the Drive” on page 27 and “Troubleshooting” on page 28."

Since I use a Macbook, I don't imagine reformatting to Windows is going to be much use and anyway I need the drive for my Macbook backups.

Do you think I should buy a new backup drive just for my Cocktail x10? If so, any particular attributes to look out for?

Thanks a lot, Philip

You could format it in FAT32 , there are better tools but won't complicate matters 4u.
