Hello all.
Been using my x10 for a while now; still pleased with it even though firmware updates are via external methods.Sorry not that tech savvie.
The thing is iam am thinking of getting an x12 so that i can put the older x10 in the kitchen.
I then want to blast the x12 through the main warp drive system in the sitting room, while having some independent music (×10) when iam on domestic duties in the kitchen.
Is it easy to put all the tunes from the x10 onto an external hard drive and then bung it on the new x12?
Or is it possible to connect the x10 to the x12 and transfer directly from the x10?
I dont; repeat dont; want to go via computer thingy, file, whatnots. Told you i wasnt tech savvie.
Cheers

Sorry & we do not know the software structure as it is not endorsed (or supported) by cocktail audio UK Team.
We only deal with devices on the UK site.

Not at all being tech savvy, are the disc formats on the x10 completely incompatible with the x12?
So the only two options i have are,
1) re rip all cds onto the x12.
2) find a second hand x10 to transfere music from one to the other?
No other options?

It isn't a supported device, thus we aren't sure as there has been issues where users have had their songs moved due to updates & structures.
You have to contact the country you are purchasing the device from Sir.

You can export your music from the X10 to an external HDD and then import it to the X12.
If you have a backup for the X10 then you could try importing that to the X12. I don't have an X12 to try that on, but I did import an old X10 backup to my x10 and it worked fine. It just imported the files based on the id tags and re indexed them back into it's database.
Just remember (when importing) to copy the files and not move them, or you will delete your X10 backup.
