My cocktail x10 boots up OK and all functions work until I try to access the music database and play something I have ripped. The screen then goes white and nothing else will work. The only thing to do is to turn the unit off using the on/off switch at the back. I can still stream from the cocktail to another player in another room so the hard disc itself still seems to be functioning, just not my access to it from the unit itself. Can anyone help please? Thanks

The .DB is corrupted...
1. Could be an unconverted file/song?
2. Or the SQL link to the folders.
Have you tried the recovery scan ?

Thanks. I have run the Music DB Recovery function, but still have the problem. I have also tried to force re-install the firmware but that stops at Step 3 saying "error". If the DB is corrupted would re-formatting the hard disc help? Not sure what "SQL link to the folders" means and what I can do about it! I am also unable to open the database on my PC though not sure if this is part of the problem or a separate issue.
