Please would anyone let me know HOW i can connect, view and use my X10 database on my Apple Mac computer. I managed somehow to do this quickly & simply a year ago when I first had the Mac, but have not done so since and can't remember what to do! Help would be greatly appreciated please, many thanks.

If you enter the IP address of the X10 into a web-browser on the Mac, what happens?

This approach works for the X30.

Thanks for responding. What happens is a long wait, followed by the screen message: "Safari can't open the page for (the IP numbers) because the server where this page is located isn't responding." I wonder if the IP address could have changed with an X10 update?

I don't believe it should. The IP address is more likely to be dependent on your home network. The X30 displays its IP address through the "Network Info" option. Doesn't the X10 have something similar so that you can check that you are using the correct IP address?

Just when I thought it was all sorted out - it isn't. I now see from checking with other help sites that the Database screen I see on my MAC screen is nothing like how the Database should look. No menu, no information about type of recording (FLAC or WAV), lots of buttons missing, and as a consequence I cannot SAVE any Edits and neither can I retrieve and save any album cover artwork from files on my MAC hard drive. I see to be looking at a dumbed-down version of the DB. I expect there is something simple I haven't done - anyone any ideas please?

Do you mean the web-interface or just to see the songs via the network?

Thanks 'stane' - the web interface I see is just all the database information (cover art, titles, artists, songs etc). There is an EDIT dropdown but the SAVE button doesn't save any changes. I cannot see any of the ORANGE buttons which used to appear enabling a variety of tasks.

The first link you provided shows the PC web interface I used to see. The other links you provided don't mean anything to me I'm afraid! What am I missing please?
