I am now running firmware revision X3U-CA-1.1.0.r0118. It comes with a new internet radio service called "Radios" in the X30 menu or "I-Radio [airlable]" in the web interface.

The new airable service seems unrelated with "I-Radio [reciva]", which was the only internet radio service previously available. It appears in a different menu tab of the web interface: reciva is under the Music DB tab (as it was before), while airable is directly under the main menu, at the same level as Music DB, Podcast, Remote Control, Browser and Settings. On the other hand, reciva "Favourites" have a "Rename" function (in the X30 menu) (or "Edit station" in the web interface), but I do not find a similar functionality for airable "Favourites".

I have several questions about this new airable service:
    1. It looks like airable is managed in a conceptually different way from reciva. Is this true?
    2. Is there a way to rename airable "Favourites" stations? I want to add a number before each station name so I can control the order in which they are displayed (as I did for reciva "Favourites").
    3. The reciva list of "Favourites" is stored somewhere in the Music DB of the hard disk. But this is not the case for airable. If I remove the HDD, the list of reciva "Favourites" is no longer available, while the airable "Favourites" are still there. Where is the airable "Favourites" list stored?

Thanks in advance for info about these questions.

Looks like nobody has answers to my questions about the new "Radios" service which comes in the latest X30 firmware release, X3U-CA-1.1.0.r0118. Maybe Admin can offer some info?

I do like airable, more than reciva, but not being able to organize your favourite stations is a pain!

Thanks for any info.

This is quite logical - It's probably stored on the API setup folders within the flash.
The other API by RECIVA has a different structure.
Just like the difference between android froyo & android marshmallow - one can run exclusively on an external with ram usage the newer versions require flash/rom to even be on the device.

Thanks for the info. This in fact answers yes to my question #1 (is airable managed in a conceptually different way from reciva?).

Also, from your comments, I understand that the reciva list of "Favourites" is not stored anywhere in the CocktaiAudio but somewhere "in the cloud" (i.e., in the reciva servers). This would answer my question #3 (where is the airable "Favourites" list stored?).

And, what about my question #2 (Is there a way to rename airable "Favourites" stations?)? Any idea about this? If it is not possible, then the new airable Radios service becomes a lot less interesting...

To be honest it doesn't even matter ...
Some services are stored on the flash of the device (like the HDD) & others on the hdd (installed HDD).
It depends on how the API was written by the services eg - google, qobuz, tunin etc
Normally these are links, so if you modify them, the link is likely to be broken.
Some use the url or IP to access the services.
