X30, firmware version r0149

I ripped a bunch of CDs recently and for some of them it has created a separate album for each song. How do I get the songs back into a single album, and why has it done this? Is it more dodgy firmware?

This is related to the metadata.
The quickest way, would be to join each track to an album name.
Start by displaying by Album or artist & check if that specific ALBUM or ARTIST is linked to all the separate tracks.
If for instance an ARTIST is linked, then simply rename a common the album of each track. This is related to the metadata.
